Prof. Dr. Mauro Merli
Prof. Dr. Mauro Merli graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 from the University of Bologna, where he subsequently completed his specialization in Dentistry and Stomatology in 1989.
He is an Active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP), where he has served as National Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President.
Prof. Merli is the author of the multimedia publications published by Quintessence:
Vol. I – Implant Therapy: The Integrated Treatment Plan and
Vol. II – Prosthetic Therapy in Implantology: The Integrated Treatment Plan,
as well as numerous scientific articles. He is a frequent speaker at national and international congresses.
He serves as a reviewer for The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
Prof. Merli is Professor of Periodontology at the Marche Polytechnic University. He is President and Medical Director of Clinica Merli and Scientific Director of the Accademia Dento-Facciale. He practices at the clinic founded by his father Mario, along with his siblings Monica and Aldo.
He is certified in Basic Life Support and Defibrillation (BLSD).
